Is the reservation actually free?
Yes. Free reservation, no deposit, no credit card. We collect your name, email, and phone so we can notify you at launch.

Do I have to pay a subscription to use Luma?
No. Buy the hardware and Luma works out of the box for the basics: voice, glow, on-device memory.
Luma Plus ($9.99/month at launch) unlocks advanced emotional intelligence and unlimited device integrations. Cancel anytime, the hardware still works.
Is Luma always listening?
Only when you let it. Luma ships with the mic and camera off by default. You turn on the features you want.
If you ever want to stop everything immediately, the privacy switch on top of the device is a hardware kill. Mic and camera physically off until you flip it back.
How does the "sees what you see" feature work? Is it always recording?
Vision is opt-in per session. You ask Luma to look at something, and it looks. The moment you stop the session, it stops.
Nothing is stored as raw video. Frames are processed on-device, used to answer you, then dropped.
Can I turn off any feature I do not want?
Yes. Every feature is opt-in. You enable each one through the Luma app, and you can switch any of them off at any time.
Microphone, camera, memory, mood-reading, integrations with your phone or Meta glasses: each one has its own toggle. Off means off.
Where is my data stored?
On your Luma device. Locally. Encrypted at rest.
Your conversations, your preferences, your memory: none of it leaves the device unless you turn on optional cloud sync, and even then it is encrypted in transit and only readable by you.
Does Luminaire sell my data?
Never. We do not sell data to third parties. We do not sell ads inside Luma. The business model is hardware plus an optional subscription, that is it.
Can I delete my data?
Anytime. The Luma app has a one-tap "delete everything" option that wipes the device locally and any cloud copy if you had sync on.
You can also delete a single conversation, a single memory, or a date range. You own your data.
What devices does Luma connect to?
iPhone, Android, Samsung, your TV, Meta glasses. One companion, every device. Pair through the Luma app, manage permissions per device.
Will Luma replace my Alexa or Google Home?
It can if you want it to. Luma handles the same smart-home calls, plus actual conversation. Most owners retire their old smart speaker within a week.
How does the gaming mode work?
Connect Luma to your console or gaming PC, and it can call out plays, hype you up, or just keep you company when the squad logs off. Gaming mode is opt-in and stops the moment you exit the game.
Can my kids use Luma?
Yes, with a parent-managed profile. You set what Luma can and cannot discuss, what hours it is active, and review a weekly summary.
Designed to be the older-sibling figure that helps your kid talk through what is on their mind, never a replacement for you.
Is Luma kid-safe?
Yes. Kid mode strips adult content, slows the pace, keeps responses age-appropriate. You can turn it on for a profile or for the whole device.
What is the warranty?
Two years standard on the Hardware tier. Premium Support and longer coverage available with subscription.
Are reservations refundable?
There is no charge to reserve, so there is nothing to refund. If you change your mind before shipping, just email us and we drop you from the list. No questions, no fee.
